A friend lost her Z32 today to an innatentive driver in a Versa. With that damage, it's for sure salvage. The poor girl is heartbroken, but is for sure getting another Z32. Both her and her boyfriend drive red Zs.

300ZX's make terrible drift cars, impossible to avoid oil starvation under sustained G-loads which means blowing an engine in a day. A friend of mine knows this from experience...

I thought of you the other day when I saw a wrecked Z32 on the back of a tow truck. The left rear quarter was smashed in and the wheel was toed 30 degrees out, so it couldn't be their fault. These kind of things make me sad. :(

I have a friend who drifts his regularly and has no problems with it. Either I have a lucky friend or you have an unlucky one

I think your friend is very very lucky. My friend knew is was going to be an issue, and even had an accusump to try to prevent it but still blew it on his first event. Granted he was pushing around 500hp and is basically the most talented driver I've ever met (read: more g load) but the engine was fully built and he still god rod knock after 1 day. He claims that the engines have big oiling issues under sideload which is why you hardly ever see any at drift events or even that many road racing.

Zed's dead man...
Real shame. At least it was something modern so she's well protected. I'm terrified of this happening in my Spitfire when it's done, the fuel tank will be right at the back in the boot :S
